I am Karen A Buchholz Godin, a dedicated and professional genealogist for the last 18 years and am currently working on my certification through the Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG). My mother, Arlene L Brown Ackermann, has been researching for 55 years and my aunt, Colleen A Brown Kimball, has been researching for 6 years. Over 79 years of experience!
We have been investigating family histories long before there were software programs and online databases. We are long standing members of the National Genealogical Society and numerous State and Cultural Societies in North America. My mother has recently stepped down as Registrar for the Martin County Florida DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). We subscribe to many online databases including many rare repositories. We are extremely familiar with the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. Together we have researched, taught, lectured, and volunteered many passionate hours throughout the United States and Canada.
At an Introductory Rate of $25 for up to 5 hours of research, we will conduct a reasonably exhaustive search for all information that is or may be pertinent to your own ancestral history. We collect and include in our compilation a complete, accurate citation of each item of information we use. We analyze and correlate the collected information, assess its quality as evidence, resolve any conflicts between contradictory evidence, and arrive at a soundly reasoned, coherently written conclusion.
We will forward copies of pedigrees, family group sheets, and scanned documents via email within one week of receipt of payment. Additional research, hard copies, wall charts, albums suitable for coffee table, and bridal or baby shower gifts are available at additional expense. If we find that we cannot find additional information beyond what you provide then we will refund our fee in full.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you have prior to payment. If you provide us with pertinent data in advance of payment we can do a quick check to see if we are likely to be of service and notify you accordingly. All information provided on “living” persons will be held in the strictest of confidence.
Please provide as much data as you possess at the start. Include full names (as best known), dates and locations of births, marriages, nationality and immigration info, military service, deaths and residences. Be sure to also include any anecdotes or family stories that have been handed down through the years. The more information you can provide will reflect in the amount of assistance we can give.

Our Introductory Rate includes Internet research only and all results will be forwarded via email upon conclusion. We can provide you information on how to obtain various courthouse records that are not available online. We cannot help with Adoption searches, Missing Persons, or "Brick Walls" due to nonexistent or missing documents.
